  • What did the old farmer have? 4 sons
  • What were the sons doing? always quarrelling with one another.
  • What did the old man advise them?
  • To behave friendly with each other.
  • What happened to his advice?
  • They did not listen  to him at all.
  • What happened to the old man one day?
  • he fell in the sick bed.
  • Where were the four sons standing?
  • near his cot.
  • What did the give them?
  • A bundle of sticks.
  • What did he order them to do?
  • To break the bundle.
  • Were the sons able to break the bundle?
  • No.
  • Then what did the father give?
  • A single stick.
  • What did he ask them to do?
  • to break the single stick.
  • Did they break the single stick easily?
  • yes.
  • What did the father advise his sons?
  • He said,"" see the power of unity.""
  • What is the benefit of unity?
  • no one could do any harm to them.
  • What would happen if there is no unity?
  • they would be easily defeated like the single wooden stick
